Tim Seaman, Men’s Cross Country Coach, Named 2022 Coach of the Year.
The associate governing body for the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) has named Cuyamaca College Coach Tim Seaman the 2022 Men’s Cross Country Coach of the Year. Seaman was selected as the clear winner from a star-studded pool of nominees.
Coach Seaman’s leadership and the team’s stellar 2022 performance were top reasons noted by the voting board. “What is impressive about Coach Tim’s accomplishment, is (Tim) raising his team into the top-10 position, where Cuyamaca College has the smallest student population of those teams in the Top-10 and managed to compete toe-to-toe with the best,” said in-coming association president Jennifer Williams.
In the 2022 season, the men’s cross country team finished second at the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference, seventh at the SoCal Regional Championships, and sixth at the California State Championships, the college’s highest-recorded finish at this competition.
