EL CAJON – There is still time to apply and sign up for classes at Grossmont and Cuyamaca colleges for Spring 2023. Regular spring semester classes begin Jan. 30, and open registration continues through Jan. 29.
This spring’s class schedules offer numerous choices for completing coursework in person, online, and in hybrid formats. Classes that meet at night and on weekends also are available, allowing students to build a schedule that works for them.
At Grossmont College, career education and general education are plentiful. Career education courses offer practical training for fast-track careers and include business entrepreneurship, information technology, cyber security, drone operations, public safety, administration of justice, and hospitality and tourism.

Grossmont students are encouraged to apply for financial aid, including federal Pell Grants ranging from $600 to $6,095 per academic year. More details can be found here. At Cuyamaca College, a wide variety of courses will be offered to prepare students to transfer to the University of California and California State University systems, as well as private colleges and universities. Numerous other course offerings will focus on career training leading to higher wages and career growth. Cuyamaca College also offers stackable certificates in many programs, allowing students to obtain employment quickly and advance in their careers as they obtain additional certificates. Many courses are offered in short-term, accelerated format; these courses range from four to eight weeks in length.

First-time students planning to attend full time may be eligible for free tuition through the Grossmont-Cuyamaca College Promise program.
This spring, face coverings will be optional across the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District, assuming no significant changes in the local public health situation. As of fall 2022, students were no longer required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, although the District strongly encourages everyone to fully vaccinate for their own protection and the protection of others.
